We honestly have no clue how this happened. Details are pretty much nonexistent, but the crew over at Wrecked Exotics claim that it was an auto journalist out on a media test drive in Mexico who caused this BMW i8 crash. Not just a crash; the thing flipped over. We also don't know for sure whether or not anyone was injured, but as long as the driver and any passengers were wearing seat belts then all should be good. The i8 itself? More than likely completely totaled. Nice going, Mr. Auto Journalist. You've just earned yourself a spot on BMW's shit list.
