You know, it’s one of those Chevy-powered Fords.
The matchup seems to be pretty classic, you’ve got a Trans Am up against a Fox-body Mustang, classic GM vs Ford. But then the Ford has a GM-sourced LSX engine in it, and the Pontiac is about half taken apart, a move made for the sake of air flow. These aren’t terribly showy cars, but rather machines built with the single-minded purpose of going fast as hell. And that is indeed what they’ll be doing here, out on the highway.
There are a couple of rolling starts, and the results are really quite impressive. Enjoy.
