A Fair Fight? Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Vs BMW M4

One is on its way out while the other is just arriving, but both are all about performance.

One is on its way out the door while the other has just arrived. They may be two high-performance coupes based on larger sedans, but they have loyal followings of their own. The Cadillac CTS-V Coupe is currently in its final days. More than likely, it’ll eventually be replaced by an ATS-V Coupe. But the latter won’t have the CTS-V’s supercharged 6.2-liter V8. In the other corner of the ring is the all-new BMW M4.

Powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six, the first-ever M4 is definitely more fuel efficient than the thirsty CTS-V Coupe, but does it have as much character? Sure, it may be more refined overall, but some are saying the M4 doesn’t have the sheer V8 madness its M3 Coupe predecessor proudly had. So which one best expresses bad ass character: the BMW M4 or the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe?
