Back in May last year, the Chevrolet Trailblazer made a triumphant return for the first time since 2009. But while the previous Trailblazer was a full-size SUV, the new version is an entry-level subcompact crossover. Now that sales have begun, Chevrolet has launched an online configurator for the subcompact crossover allowing prospective customers to spend hours building their perfect Trailblazer.

Opening the configurator gives you a choice of five trim options: L, LS, LT, Activ, and RS. The base model starts at an affordable $19,995 and comes with a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine with 137 horsepower and 166 lb-ft of torque paired with a continuous variable transmission.

Moving up the range, the Trailblazer LS starts at $22,495, while the LT starts at $24,595. This trim can also be upgraded with a more powerful 1.3-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine producing 155 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque for $25,995. Both the rugged Activ and sporty RS trim will set you back at least $26,395. FWD and a CVT is offered as standard but every trim can be upgraded to AWD and a nine-speed automatic apart from the base L trim.

Six exterior colors and two-tone color options are available at no extra cost along with a premium Iridescent Pearl Tricolor finish that costs an extra $645. Available packages include a $345 Driver Confidence Package, a $620 Convenience Package, a $1,770 Sun and Liftgate Package, and a $1,720 Technology Package.

The Driver Confidence Package includes a rear park assist, rear cross traffic alert, and a lane change alert with side blind zone alert, while the Convenience Package adds automatic climate control, a SiriusXM trial subscription, and an eight-inch diagonal color touch screen among other features.

As standard, the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer rides on 18-inch aluminum wheels. Inside, you get a seven-inch infotainment screen as standard, which can be upgraded to an eight-inch screen while an eight-screen is offered on select trim levels. Other optional interior tech includes a Bose premium seven-speaker audio system, adaptive cruise control, and a 4.2-inch diagonal driver information center.
