Without question, the new Jaguar F-Type is the most important car the UK automaker has released in many years. It returns Jaguar to its pure sports car and racing roots while at the same time offers a dose of luxury and style for those who can afford one. What's more, the F-Type truly puts Jaguar back on the list of top brands like Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. And very soon it'll be time for Jaguar to take the next step in the battle against the best of the best.

The XE will premiere in early October at the Paris Motor Show and, as many will see, it'll be the closest thing possible to a four-door F-Type. Of course it'll have its own distinct interior and exterior design, but it'll ride on the same platform and share the same engines. Rendering artist Theophilus Chin has created this image of what's basically a stretched F-Type with four doors. We'll admit it looks pretty darn good and we're really hoping the XE will outdo this. We'll just have to wait a few more weeks to find out.
