The end of motoring fun Down Under has sadly arrived.
Australia’s Holden division is dead as we know it. In its place will be nothing more than a global GM outpost comprised of a design studio, and a parts and sales network. More than any other country in the world after the US, it was Australia who also fully embraced V8-powered, rear-wheel-drive muscle cars with the same passion and tire smoke fury as their American friends. From the Monaro to the Commodore and several other models in between, Holden created some true greats. Here are a collection of photos to properly commemorate them.
