Now the company’s sedan and upcoming SUV can battle for the name.
From 1976 to 1990, British automaker Aston Martinmanufactured a massive four-door sedan that departed from its usual sports carofferings, featuring a powerful 5.3-liter V8 engine and epic proportions. Now, it seems the company is testing a modern version of the car. Will this bethe next Aston Martin Lagonda? The name would seem fitting, except that Astonhas already used the moniker on its 2009 SUV concept, which is expected toenter production in 2017.
Naming schemes aside, Auto Express has reported that thissedan may be a singular bespoke project commissioned through the Q by AstonMartin’s personalization department. It will reportedly feature a 6.0-liter V12,and be based on the Rapide’s platform.
