In many ways, the Porsche 911 GT3 and the Nissan GT-R are really good competitors. Both perform beautifully on the track (in proper conditions, that is) and are designed and engineered for enthusiast drivers. But there are many differences between them, mainly that the GT3 is rear-wheel-drive while Godzilla is all-wheel-drive and, not to mention, quite a bit heavier. It's also an older car and is lacking some of the Porsche's overall refinement. Still though, having that AWD can make quite a big difference – especially when the track is damp.

Auto Express recently brought these two track demons together to determine, obviously, which of the two is better and fastest around the circuit. But is this really the best way to do it, considering the state of the track on test day? And remember, the proper tires can also make all the difference.
