The Bentley Bentayga is stupidly fast, this we know. Its twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 engine produces 600 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. It has a top speed of 187 mph. The SUV is able to tear up a quarter mile in under 12 seconds despite weighing 5,400 pounds. Now how do we know the Bentayga can run the quarter so quickly? Simple: This YouTube video proves it. In it a stock Bentayga, at least the video description says it is stock, does the quarter mile in a ridiculous 11.82 seconds. (OK, it's more than that if you add reaction time to the equation.)

Other videos we've seen have shown the Bentayga doing the same dash in 12.5 seconds, a time which the SUV shouldn't be ashamed of at all. Auto Express did a standing kilometer (6/10ths of a mile) in 22.7 seconds at 148 mph.

But those feats of speed pale in comparison to this one. The trap speed of the Bentayga appears to have been recorded in kilometers. Convert 187.26 kph to a unit of measurement we're more familiar with and you get a trap speed of 116.35 mph. For a big SUV to move that quickly in such limited space is truly incredibly. It'd break our hearts to find out this Bentayga has been tuned. We're much happier with the idea that Bentley's flagship is damn near a 10-second car out the box.
