A Street-Legal Ferrari FXX-K Evo Would Be The Definition Of Insanity

Right now, the most ferocious Ferrari you can buy is the LaFerrari-based FXX-K Evo, a hardcore version of the already extreme FXX-K. The catch? It's restricted to the racetrack, so you'll never see one out on the road. While the Ferrari FXX has been converted into a road car, we've yet to see the FXX-K or Evo get the same treatment. Making track-only supercars street legal seems to be a recurring trend too, as we recently saw RML Group transform the Aston Martin Vulcan track weapon into a road-going V12 masterpiece.

Fortunately, render artist Aksyonov Nikita has visualized our fantasy of a road-legal Ferrari FXX-K Evo. While it still retains the car's dramatic design, a few modifications have been made to the front fascia to make it more practical for the road. As with the factory version, the render shows the Ferrari FXX-K Evo fitted with a massive split-grille, aero-enhancing fenders, and a prominent front splitter. To make it suitable for road use, Nikita has added a set of headlights and raised the ride height to prevent its nose from scraping uneven tarmac. At the rear, the road-going FXX-K Evo features the same active rear wing as the factory car and has been fitted with a pair of circular taillights to make the car road-legal.

According to Ferrari, the aero package improves the FXX-K Evo's downforce coefficient by 23 percent, which is the equivalent of a 75 percent increase from the Ferrari LaFerrari. Power comes courtesy of a 6.3-liter twin-turbo V8 that delivers an insane 1,050 horsepower and 730 lb-ft of torque resulting in a top speed of 217 mph. With those specs, a street-legal Ferrari FXX-K Evo would be the definition of insanity. But that doesn't stop us from wanting one badly.
