It's not quite an RS either, but it's still quite an improvement.
We understand why you might not be all that eager to buy an Audi TT, but perhaps you should take a look at what VW Group tuning specialist ABT has done with the car. First thing you'll notice is the gunmetal gray wrap with a matte finish. There is a body kit as well, which includes mirror caps and some aerodynamic pieces, such as a TT RS-style fixed rear wing. There's even a new exhaust system featuring ABT logos engraved on the tips.
The suspension has been swapped out, and a new set of 20-inch ABT wheels are fitted over big brake discs and six-piston calipers. The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine has been tuned to produce 310 horsepower, up from 230 stock horses. That puts it pretty comfortably between the 265 horsepower in the TTS and the 360 of the TT RS. That's a fairly large gap, so it makes good sense for ABT to aim for the middle here. Of course, some people would like a bit more power, so if you bring ABT your TT RS, you can bump that one up to 470 horsepower.
