Renowned VW and Audi tuning firm ABT Sportsline has come up with the best police car on the road since the Lamborghini Gallardo 560-4 Polizia began patrolling the Italian highways a couple of years ago. This very special super police car, aka the Polizei Fahrzeug, is based on the ABT Audi R8 GTR and officially debuted at last week's Essen Motor Show as part of the 'safe and serious tuning' German initiative called Tune it! Safe!

A host of upgrades can be found on this awesome police car, including a 640hp engine tune, 19-inch alloys, carbon ceramic brakes, sport exhaust, sport suspension, carbon-fiber aerodynamics kit and a roll bar. On the outside the finely-tuned R8 has been given a Polizei-spec paint scheme and official police foil décor, in addition to a cool set of Hella RTK-7 police roof lights. If you happen to be cruising on the autobahns one day, keep an eye out for the ultimate German cop car. But whatever you, don't try and outrun it.
