Engine tweaks, new wheels & suspension, and an aerodynamics package have transformed the T5 MPV.
The German tuning firm has revealed their latest tuning program, with the VW T5 being the beneficiary of some modest power and aerodynamic upgrades. The 2.0-liter TSI engine has been tuned to deliver 237hp and 295lb-ft of torque (up from 115hp and 125lb-ft) which means it can now sprint from 0-62mph in 9.4 seconds. Diesel engines have also been modified with the 83hp 2.0-liter TDI upgraded to produce 108hp.
The 101hp version now develops 128hp, and the 138hp variant has been tweaked to produce 168hp and 295lb-ft of torque. To handle all the extra power, ABT has added 19-inch BR alloys and in-house suspension springs while the multi-purpose van gets a sporty facelift thanks to the aerodynamic package that includes a new front grille & spoiler, side skirts, rear skirt housing, a quad exhaust and a rear roof spoiler.
