The Volkswagen Tiguan has amassed a reputation as Germany's best-selling versatile compact crossover. Tuners ABT have taken the Tiguan and tuned it for both appearance and performance. ABT's Tiguan boasts a wide array of engine types. VW's 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine has been boosted from its original two outputs of 140hp and 170hp to 170hp and 195hp. The 2.0-liter TSI gasoline engine also comes in two power-boosted stages, going from 180hp and 210hp to 210hp and 250hp.

The third 1.4 TSI gasoline engine got a nice 50hp boost from 160hp to 210hp. The German tuners didn't forget about the exterior after all of their work under the Tiguan's hood. Custom door strip attachments, rear wing, a new front grille and a rear skirt molded to fit a new exhaust system have all been added to give the Tiguan a quick and sporty look. The crossover sits on 18-20-inch light alloy wheels and a maximum-stability suspension for hitting those high speeds. Pricing for the base 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan starts at $24,000. The ABT package should run a bit more as you go up the line on engine variants.
