The BMW M4 is either growing on us or was never really all that bad to look at to begin with. Either way, the convertible version has just arrived, and we think it could be the sexiest of the G8X models. Like the coupe and sedan models, it'll be great fun to drive. Still, while we may be warming to the looks and are already hot for the performance, no new BMW is loved by all. For some, tuning upgrades are required for that touch of individuality, and one of the most prolific BMW tuners is AC Schnitzer that has just worked its magic on the M4.

Available immediately are parts like a roof spoiler, protection film for the rear skirt, and AC Schnitzer badges in black. But from next month, more exciting goodies become available with the release of a front splitter, and a carbon-fiber rear trunk lid spoiler, as well as protection film for the side skirts. Also coming soon is an AC Schnitzer lowering kit that drops the car's stance by 20-25 millimeters in front and 15-20 mm at the rear. Of course, one does not simply lower a car without fitting sexier wheels. The jury is out on the appeal of the AC designs, but these AC3 lightweight forged wheels will at least lower the unsprung weight of the car. Available in Silver/Anthracite, Anthracite/Silver, or gloss black, these 20-inch wheels fill the arches nicely.

Inside, AC has a number of upgrades immediately available including aluminum shift paddles, foot pedals, a footrest, and a key holder. These upgrades are all suitable for that aforementioned M4 Convertible too, but more exciting are the planned offerings. AC Schnitzer is currently developing a performance upgrade with a warranty, engine accessories, a stainless steel exhaust system with "Carbon Sport" finishers, RS adjustable suspension, and aero upgrades like front winglets, mudguard deflectors, a "Racing" rear wing with an optional Gurney flap, and a carbon diffuser with an optional frame and a third brake light. There's no word on cost, but expect these upgrades to be rather pricy. Or save yourself some cash and potential abuse from your friends and leave your M4 stock. The choice is yours.
