BMW specialists AC Schnitzer have released their latest project based on the 6 Series Gran Coupe. The svelte four-door coupe now boasts more power and a bold body kit to enhance both performance and presence on the road. Designed for "powerful dynamics, sporting performance and exclusive elegance," Schnitzer's new program further enhances the most accommodating of Sixes.

Starting under the hood, the German tuners have ratcheted up power output from both the 313-horsepower 640d and 320-horsepower 640i to an even 360 horses. The extra power comes from an ECU remap and a custom twin sports exhaust system complete with rear silencer, and is also accessible via a widened power band.

Bigger 8-piston brakes have been added to handle the extra power, while the company's in-house suspension delivers smoother driving dynamics. In terms of styling, Schnitzer reports its Gran Coupe has been "designed by perfectionists for perfectionists." The body kit has been optimized for greater aerodynamics, with a new front spoiler, chrome front grille with matching strip and rear skirt extensions wrapped in protective film. A range of 19-21" rims enhance the stance, the example pictured here riding on 21-inch Type VIII BiColor wheels.

The Schnitzer catalog also features a series of upgrades to the already luxurious interior. An EVO 3-spoke Sport steering wheel has been added along with aluminum covers on the footrests and pedals, with velour floor mats for added opulence. Pricing and availability have yet to be confirmed.
