Europe’s answer to SEMA will showcase this awesome 294-hp Polizei Bimmer.

The Essen Motor Show is kicking off this week, and for the fourth year running a German police car has been selected for the “Tune It! Safe!” campaign. For 2013 the honor of showcasing a car that’s both safe and a little bit naughty has gone to BMW tuning specialist AC Schnitzer. Based on a 428i Coupe, the ACS4 2.8i comes with a 2.0-liter turbo-four modified to crank out 294 hp and 310 lb-ft. The German Polizei’s plaything is good for a 5.7-second 0-62 mph time, can sprint from 50-122 mph in 12.7 seconds, and tops out at 155 mph.

Under all that police livery, the 4er sports an aero kit comprising of new front and rear spoilers, a rear diffuser and rear roof spoiler. It also sits on 21-inch alloys and boasts a 25 mm adjustable race-spec suspension. Inside, AC Schnitzer fitted aluminum pedals and foot rest, a new handbrake handle and a new key holder.
