Look out for the ACL2.
Sometimes less is more and in the case of cars, it means the BMW M235i is one of the best sports cars in recent times. It may not have the blistering speed or cornering capabilities as its more expensive M brothers, but it’s still incredible. AC Schnitzer plans to change the perceived thinking behind the M235i with a new model dubbed the ACL2 that will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. Apparently, the sports car will produce up to 570 hp, which would make it more powerful than the BMW M4 GTS.
While the sports car's looks may be questionable, the way it sounds—and will most likely go—is not.
If that doesn’t make you excited than these figures might. The sports car will be extremely light, light enough to have a power to weight ratio of 2.54 hp/kg, which puts it in the same league as the Chevrolet C6 Corvette Z06 or Porsche 911 GT2. There’s no word on how AC Schnitzer managed to get that kind of performance from the M235i’s 3.0-liter inline-six twin-turbocharged engine or whether it put a new powerplant under the hood, but the tuning company did an incredible job. From the outside, the ACL2 looks angry thanks to a new aerodynamic kit and track-inspired components. The green and red combo may make it looks like a Christmas carriage, but it’s an impressive sports car nonetheless.
