Pricing for the new model year has also been revealed.

The second-generation Acura TLX was all-new for 2022 and immediately brought back memories of previous brand greats, specifically the Legend. For the 2023 model year, the Japanese automaker has announced that the TLX and the more powerful TLX Type S now come standard with some handy tech features. First up is a complimentary three-year AcuraLink subscription.

AcuraLink is an application that connects the sport sedan to an owner's smartphone, tablet, and any Alexa-enabled device. This allows owners to unlock a suite of features like real-time traffic, personal concierge, automatic collision notification, remote lock and unlock, and roadside assistance.

Acura also includes a Maintenance Package as standard, which is good for the first two years or 24,000 miles. The package consists of - you guessed it - factory-scheduled maintenance such as oil and filter changes, tire rotation, and multi-point inspections.

Of course, the maintenance must be performed at an Acura dealership. The package is transferable to another owner just as long as ownership changes during the initial two years. The next owner will have the service for whatever time is left from the initial sale.

The 2023 TLX will carry a base price tag of $39,650. That will get you the front-wheel drive version powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter with 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, linked to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Tacking on Acura's excellent Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system increases the price to at least $48,600.

The 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 (355 hp and 354 lb-ft) Type S starts at $55,350.

Aside from the more powerful engine, drivers will get the adaptive damper system as standard fare. In the 2.0 model, the system is part of the optional Advance Package. A few Type S-only features include Brembo front brakes, unique front fascia styling with an open-surface diamond pattern on the grille for better cooling, quad exhaust with active exhaust valves, and a 17-speaker, 710-watt ELS Studio 3D premium audio system. This system is an available option on the 2.0.

The most expensive TLX is the hand-built Type S PMC Edition, a limited production version inspired by the NSX. It offers some unique styling traits, lightweight 20-inch wheels, and three premium exterior colors, among other things.

The 2023 Type S PMC Edition begins at $62,000. None of the above prices included the $1,095 destination fee ($1,995 for the Type S PMC Edition).
