For three years the Acura RDX has provided safety with its Super Handling AWD, but this feature is also expensive to both your wallet and the gas pedal. Acura's solution to this has been the addition of a 2WD model to the RDX line. This front-drive is more fuel efficient, faster, and less expensive than its All-Wheel counterpart. The model also includes a rearview camera, electronic compass, auto-headlights, USB-connectivity, and Bluetooth capabilities.

The 2010 Acura RDX 2 WD also has a new, large center console for storage, a feature that its AWD counterpart noticeably lacks. The RDX 2WD sports the infamous Acura grille to the nose and Acura has also revised the brakes, providing a more effective braking response.
