The all-new 2021 Acura TLX is arguably the Japanese luxury brand's most important sedan redesign in years. Not since the Legend have we been this excited about a new Acura sedan and now a new bulletin recently sent to dealers reveals a new TLX lease offer that's seriously competitive to the refreshed for 2021 Lexus IS 300, one of the Acura's many rivals.

The 2021 TLX 2.0T is now being advertised at $369 a month for 36 months with $3,899 at signing and a 10,000-mile yearly limit. Factor in the down payment and this really amounts to $477 per month. Existing Acura owners and those coming from a rival brand are eligible for an even better deal of $339 a month for the same time period.

And there's also this highly valuable piece of unadvertised information: dealers have been given the option to offer a complimentary first month's lease payment of up to $500. Be sure to mention this before signing anything. Acura is anxious to lure away customers from brands such as Lexus with its new TLX and this new lease offer could prove effective.

The IS 300's current 36-month lease promotion is only $3 more than the lease for the TLX with the loyalty/conquest discount. The one free monthly payment makes the TLX even more tempting. But what about financing? Unfortunately, Acura could do better.

The TLX is currently being offered with a 1.9 percent interest rate for 60 months with $0 down, and Acura's $1,000 loyalty bonus can be applied. The IS 300, on the other hand, has a 0 percent/60 month deal and a $1,500 bonus for current Lexus customers. Which is the better deal?

Well, if the TLX and IS 300 both cost $40,000, the TLX's higher interest rate would cost buyers an additional $1,972. For now, the best choice is probably to lease a TLX, which carries a starting MSRP of $37,500. This lease offer is good nationwide and isn't set to expire until January 4, 2021.
