Acura's Sweet Deal For TLX Owners Is Worth The Wait

Pricing / Comments

The redesigned model also looks fantastic.

The all-new 2021 Acura TLX might just be one of the best-looking sedans to come to market in years. We'll have to see it in the flesh before making a final judgment, but there's no question Acura has a winner on its hands. Set to arrive in dealerships this fall, Acura apparently wants to make sure sales of the redesigned TLX start off strong and it's looking to current TLX owners and lessees to help make that happen.

CarsDirect reports a recently released dealership bulletin indicates Acura wants those current drivers to upgrade to the redesigned model and they'll be tempted to do so with new incentives. Through the luxury brand's "2021 TLX Bridge Program," current TLX customers who finance or lease through Acura Financial Services could already be eligible for a $1,500 discount.

Unfortunately, official pricing has yet to be announced though we can confirm the 2021 TLX will begin in the mid-$30,000 range for 2.0 models. The fully-loaded TLX Type S could wind up with a $50,000 or so price tag.

It's also important to note that the outgoing 2020 TLX is currently being offered with its own attractive discounts, such as up to $4,000 off base models and $5,000 off higher specced models. There are even some 2020 TLX offers with up to $8,400 in savings when leasing. But again, buyers must finance or lease through Acura. The brand is also offering a darn reasonable 0.9 percent APR financing for 72 months.

Although the 2021 TLX incentive isn't anywhere near as attractive as those for offered for its predecessor, customers will also be getting a far better-looking luxury sports sedan inside and out. That alone may be tempting enough to wait for just another month or so until the new models roll into dealerships. This offer is set to last until January 4, 2021 and that may seem like a long time, but there could be a slight catch.

The 2021 TLX Type S won't go on sale until next spring, and it's way too early to know whether or not Acura will extend, improve, or eliminate entirely the TLX Bridge Program by then.
