Aira Group will be bringing a mystery new sports car project to next week's LA Auto Show, which has been shown off in this first teaser image. Dubbed the FXE, no details have been shared yet, but the striking design looks promising in the teaser. The image shows what appears to be an aggressive-looking sports coupe with slim LED taillights, a low roof with a black section in the center that could be an air scoop, and bulging wheel arches. From the rear, the FXE looks similar to Aria's Fast Eddy concept.

Fast Eddy was inspired by the Corvette and packed a mid-mounted 6.2-liter supercharged V8 with 650 horsepower. That was enough power to enable the concept to sprint from 0-62 mph in 2.6 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 210 mph. The performance specifications of the FXE remain a mystery for now, but the company's stunning mid-engine Corvette concept certainly sets a high precedent. Based in California, Aria Group specializes in design, engineering, and manufacturing contract work for the aerospace and transportation industries, and has accumulated an impressive portfolio.

In the auto industry, Aria contributed to concepts like the Kia GT4 Stinger, Mazda Furai, and Ford GR-1, as well as the carbon fiber bodies of Porsches restored by Singer. Aria will be revealing the FXE at the LA Auto Show on November 30, so stay tuned. If the Fast Eddy concept is anything to go by, it should be worth the wait.
