Air-Cooled Porsches Can Still Dominate

Drag Race

With the proper tuning, of course.

Porsche 911s aren't the most popular of drag cars. Their strength doesn't lie so much in straight-line speed as in maneuverability, making them excellent touring/endurance cars. But not all of these things carry over. Even rarer are air-cooled 911s built for drag racing, but we've found a video of one, and it's astounding. The Type 993 has been tuned, as you would probably expect, and is now claimed to produce 800 horsepower, which we don't have a hard time believing.

The car absolutely destroys all comers at this rolling start drag event, sprinting away from them like they're standing still.
