Can it just go on sale already? We're all tired of waiting.
The arrival of Alfa Romeo's much talked about 4C coupe is nearly upon us, and now we're hearing more details about both its performance and where you can go to buy one. Despite only 2,000 examples heading to the US, it appears that Fiat dealerships won't be the place to go to hand over the check. Instead, a new report is claiming that you'll have to walk through the doors of your local Maserati dealership instead. Originally, the plan was to sell it at Fiat dealers, but now that's in question.
All told, there are only 69 Maserati showrooms in the US compared to Fiat's 209. As of this writing, Fiat has not confirmed where the 4C will ultimately be available. And while that issue is being worked out, the 4C was recently shipped to the Nurburgring in order to achieve an official lap time. If the reports prove accurate, the 4C clocked in at 8:04, which puts it directly in competition with the Porsche Cayman S. We're just waiting to see the direct head-to-head matchup between these two great mid-engined machines.
