You've seen the concept in matte red and liquid-metal silver, and the production model, released just weeks ago, in deep metallic red. Now behold the 4C in white. What you're looking at, though, is more than just a new paintjob on the mid-engined Alfa Romeo sportscar. At the Geneva show today, Alfa has released the 4C Launch Edition. Limited to 1,000 units worldwide, the Launch Edition packs a number of special touches, starting with the Carrara White body color and carbon-fiber interior trim.

In addition to the privilege of owning one of the first 4Cs, Alfa is offering Launch Edition buyers an advanced driving class in Italy, presumably at its Guida Sicura school at Verano. The 4C Launch Edition will be available in red or white, with a €60,000 pre-tax sticker price. 400 will be sold in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, with another 500 for North America and 100 for the rest of the world. Of course the launch of the 4C with its 1.75-liter turbo four is the bigger news itself, and with it Alfa has released initial performance figures: 0-62 is quoted at 4.5 seconds and the top speed in excess of 250 km/h (155 mph).
