They are two of the most formidable street legal track cars on the market today, perhaps ever. The 2015 Porsche 911 GT3 and the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 are going head to head in this latest, and one of the best, matches in Motor Trend's recent history. What both cars have in common are mechanical bits such as high-revving, dry sump engines, carbon ceramic brakes, and massive rear wings. What they don't have in common is price. Guess which one costs a lot, lot more (like double).

The 911 GT3 is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six with 475 hp. The Z/28 packs an NA 7.0-liter V8 with 505 hp. The GT3 has a seven-speed dual-clutch while the Z/28 goes au naturel with a six-speed manual. The Z/28 may be more powerful, but it's also 600 pounds heavier. Which is the better track weapon? Check out the video ahead to find out.
