SEAT's all-new Toledo will launch in Spain and Portugal this November and will slowly roll out across the rest of Europe during 2013. 4.48 meters long, it is 4cm longer than the Toledo MkII, and comes with a large, wide-opening rear hatch as opposed to its predecessor's conventional boot lid. A longer wheelbase also helps to offer passengers more legroom. The five-door, compact notchback saloon adopts the brand's current design DNA.

Its broad, angular headlamps are the most obvious example of this, while the trapezoidal, svelte grille, lower air intake and horizontal rear light clusters are other standout features of the new design."The new Toledo is a timeless personality. VW Group's latest engines have been utilized by the new Toledo, including the highly efficient 1.2 and 1.4 TSI units and the 1.6 TDI.

The most potent gasoline engines get the 7-speed dual-shift gearbox DSG, and are good for 75hp and 122hp. The Ecomotive variant of the 1.6 TDI diesel, which produces 105hp, offers class-leading CO2 emissions of 104g/km. SEAT will expand the diesel line-up with a 90hp TDI variant later in 2013. Standard safety equipment in the Toledo includes an array of airbags, central locking, a two-piece folding rear backrest and power front windows.
