Alpha Motor is making a name for itself with its adorable, retro-inspired EVs. Blending old-school styling with modern technology, Alpha's cars are more affordable alternatives to luxury electric cars like the Tesla Model S, Porsche Taycan, and Lucid Air.

Now, Alpha is expanding its lineup with new "Adventure Series" versions of the Ace coupe and Jax crossover, which are upgraded with rugged accessories designed for off-road adventuring. The company has collaborated with KC Lights to upgrade the lighting technology for the Adventure Series models. The main headlights include a set of Gravity LED seven-inch headlights with high beam, low beam, and daytime running lights.

In addition, Adventure Series models can be equipped with "Flex Era 4" roof-mounted auxiliary lights with Cree LED technology. "Gravity LED Pro6" auxiliary lights are also available with the company's patented "Gravity Reflective Diode" technology. Whereas most LED lights have forward-facing reflector designs, the LEDs are strategically positioned inside the reflector to create "powerful, usable light for everyday on or off-road use."

Further enhancing the Adventure Series models' off-road performance are off-road KMC performance wheels. The Ace rides on KM545 Trek mesh wheels, while the Jax utilizes KM718 Summit beadlock wheels. Rounding off the exterior modifications, the Adventure Series Jax is finished in Lida, a deep green color inspired by the scenic drive in Lida Street, California. The color was also chosen as a "symbol of resilience to turbulence."

Alternatively, it can be painted in Grays Harbor, which is inspired by the Grays Harbor Off-Road Vehicle Park in McCleary, Washington. The Adventure Series Ace, on the other hand, can be painted in Cerro Blanco or Fusain. The former is inspired by the sand dunes of Peru, while the latter symbolizes the "versatile durability found in charcoal that is used for art."

Like the regular model, the Adventure Series Ace offers a range of over 250 miles, while a rear-mounted single motor enables the retro EV to accelerate from 0-60 mph in six seconds. The larger Jax offers the same range but will do the same sprint in 6.5 seconds and will be available with front- or four-wheel drive. Production of the Ace and Jax is expected to start in 2023.
