Alpha/AMS Performance has reclaimed the Nissan GT-R quarter-mile record, with its Alpha Omega GT-R completing the run in an incredible 7.70 seconds @ 186 mph. The record attempt went down at the Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas, where an even quicker run could have been made were it not for some unfavorable weather, with storms and then stifling hot humidity doing its utmost to ruin the team's chances.

Thankfully, Alpha/AMS was able to complete one run, which saw the GT-R hit 60 mph in 1.53 seconds, 100 mph in 2.79 sec, before clocking the quarter-mile and 186 mph in just 7.7 secs. Watch the run here and remember, there's more to come from this incredible car.
