Yeah, it's just that easy. (sarcasm)
When racing, it's generally preferred to get out in front right from the beginning and stay there. This might not be an incredibly realistic goal for most drivers most of the time, but the following video shows the incredibly talented Lotus Cup driver Dean Evans weaving his way to the front just after crossing the starting line. The race itself was race 2 of the Lotus Cup, held at Bathurst in Australia, a track which has been home to some pretty amazing driving.
It's an impressive feat of driving, and no amount of comments about someone doing this all the time in Forza can make it any less impressive.
