Only this time without conventional weapons.
You've heard about how wonderful both are many, many times. Sure, each has a few faults, but the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and Porsche 911 GT3 are damn near close. It's amazing that both are completely street legal and yet were engineered and tuned for superior track performance. OK, so neither one is exactly cheap, but like all Corvettes, the Z06 is one hell of a bang for the buck. The GT3 is not the poor man's anything. It's earned a reserved spot for greatness because of, well, everything about it.
Sticker price be damned. But in case anyone's wondering, the Z06 bases at $78,000 while the GT3 will cost at least $131,395. While the Z06 has a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with 650 hp, the GT3 forwent the puffer and stuck with a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six that's good for 475 hp. Is it even possible to go wrong with either of these? We don't see how. But everyone has their preference, and we'd like to hear yours.
