Mercedes-Benz has announced that it will be extending the AMG Sport range to cover additional models, allowing more buyers to dress their stock models up as AMG beasts. Like current AMG Sport models, now the A-Class, C-Class, E-Class and S-Class will be given an AMG Sport option, providing modest performance upgrades and extensive styling enhancements inspired by the real AMG vehicles. The AMG Sport packages will be offered on both gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles.

A source inside the company told Autocar that "we have identified growing demand for our more overtly sporting models, both in petrol and diesel guises. We intend to extend our range with a new line of models developed in partnership with AMG."
