It's no secret that it's gotten absurdly difficult to just buy a regular pickup truck that only does pickup things. There was a time when manufacturers didn't even consider putting anything on a pickup that wasn't strictly utilitarian. Now, of course, many pickups have become sedans with beds on the back, and it was around the time that the F-150 in this video was made that things were starting to change in the pickup truck industry.

The changes actually happened pretty quickly, but this truck is a really good example of what those first few steps in the new direction looked like.
