Hint: it's not the Ford F-150.
You may be asking yourself something like “how the hell can a pickup truck be considered green?” Yes, green as in not (too) bad for the environment. Well, apparently it’s possible, although not to the extent of something like a Toyota Prius. But forget that scrawny hybrid, you want, no, need, a full-size truck to do awesome things in. Adventures await. But you’re also eco-conscious, though not to Prius levels. Fortunately you can now get the best of everything.
Green Car Journal has just announced its 2015 Green Truck of the Year: the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel. It faced off against the Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon, and the new supposed almighty, aluminum enriched, 2015 Ford F-150. The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel exemplifies what a 'green' truck should be," said Ron Cogan, editor and publisher of the Green Car Journal. "It’s a heavy-hitter that pulls off exceptional fuel economy with its impressive EcoDiesel engine and array of efficiency features like active grille shutters and aero suspension. Pickup buyers get the best of both worlds with the beefy torque and environmental performance offered by this full-size and stylish pickup."
