Thanks to the disruption caused by the pandemic, supply issues meant that some of most popular Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray options were no longer available for new customers and, in some cases, canceled for existing orders. This meant some owners didn't receive the car they originally ordered.

Thankfully, now that these supply issues have been resolved, some of the discontinued options such as the popular High Wing Spoiler are now available to order once again. After being removed from the online configurator last February due to a supply issue, Chevrolet's optional Carbon Fiber Ground Effects Package is also making a comeback.

Chevrolet's Carbon Fiber Ground Effects Package includes a front splitter and two side rocker panel moldings, as well as the necessary hardware to install them. Each component is made of carbon fiber and gives the Corvette a "dramatic, ground-hugging appearance." In addition, the Carbon Fiber Ground Effects Package increases the downforce and reduces air pressure underneath the car to reduce drag, improve performance, and increase traction.

Available for the 2020 and 2021 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, the kit will set you back $4,695 for the visible carbon fiber version and $595 for the black version excluding dealer installation.

The kit also needs to be combined with a Chevrolet-engineered spoiler. At least anyone who had their part order canceled for their 2020 Corvette last year can now order the kit separately. Production of the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is underway, with other new options including new exterior finishes, stripe packages, and a new interior theme. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support is also now standard for the 2021 Corvette.

No changes were made under the hood, however. Like the 2020 model, the 2021 Corvette C8 is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 producing 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
