Parent-company Mahindra thinks it can finally crack American market with Korean brand.
Aswe told you earlier this year, Indian auto-making giant, Mahindra, has been interestedin entering the North American market for some time now, and it looks like itmay be happening sooner than expected with the help of one of its subsidiaries –SsangYong. The Korean brand, Reuters reports, is currently conducting a feasibilitystudy to examine the likelihood of such a move, even by developing new modelsthat would be tailored to the US market.
Ifthis were to happen, the company says it could churn out new products in two tothree years, marketing SsangYong as an affordable SUV and crossovermanufacturer on our shores. With new concepts already headed for the upcomingParis Motor Show, the company might already be on the way to a surprise welcomein the US.
