The 2023 Cadillac Escalade is about as close to a leather-wrapped tank as you can buy, but what if you need an SUV that can literally take bullets like a tank? You contact the specialists at Inkas Armored Vehicles. This Canadian company has already built an armored Escalade but a new VIP "Chairman" Edition delivers even more impressive luxury. Whereas the standard Escalade maximized space to seat up to seven passengers, the Chairman Edition sacrifices overall capacity in the name of a secure, first-class experience.
The interior now features a custom layout with forward-facing leather recliners and rear-facing jump seats in a pinch (like a limousine). These chairs feature temperature control and built-in massage systems with powered fold-away tables perfect for work or eating a meal. Rear occupants can separate from the driver with a partition and a hide-away TV that can be controlled via a touchscreen.
To fit in this insane amount of luxury, even the Escalade's gargantuan interior wasn't large enough. That's why Inkas raised the cabin by five inches and installed lighting in the ceiling that mimics natural light. Under the hood, the Escalade keeps its 6.2-liter V8 engine sending 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque out through a 10-speed automatic transmission. If customers want to sacrifice power for fuel economy, they can also get a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six diesel engine producing 277 hp and the same amount of torque. We wonder if Inkas could do the same treatment to the 668-hp Escalade-V.

As with other Inkas models, the Chairman Edition Escalade is armored to the CEN 1063 BR6 level, meaning it can withstand 7.62mm assault rifle attacks and up to two DM51 hand grenades detonated beneath the vehicle. Other optional security equipment is available, including a 360-degree camera system, night-vision camera system, satellite TV, lockable storage, heavy duty wheels, door assist systems, fire suppression systems, strobe lights, and a PA system. The Chairman Edition is now available for order worldwide to all major seaports.
