One devoted Aston Martin fan is now the owner of the CC100 concept. The guy loves it so much that he commissioned another one.
To help celebrate its 100th anniversary, Aston Martin unveiled its drop-dead gorgeous CC100 Speedster concept last May at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring. Appropriately, it led a parade of 100 Aston Martins as the firm marked its centennial. And now a new report is indicating that it's been sold to a hard-core Aston fan for the princely sum of $768,000. As it turns out, that buyer commissioned for one more to be made that's set for delivery in the coming months.
But get this: that unknown buyer requested for the second CC100 to be given a special single-type approval so that it's street legal. That's just awesome. Powered by a 6.0-liter V12 that's mated to a sequential gearbox, the CC100 can go from 0-62 mph in just four seconds and has a top speed of 180 mph. Constructed from carbon fiber, the sleek body design pays homage to Aston Martin's of yesteryear along with plenty of modern styling.
