As Aston Martin celebrates its 100th birthday, its one-off CC100 Speedster makes an appearance at Lake Como.
Last week, Aston Martin revealed its CC100 Speedster, basically a birthday present to itself in celebration of its 100th year. Drawing inspiration from the iconic DBR1 as well as state-of-the-art aerodynamic design, the one-off two-seater concept is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 mated to a six-speed automated manual gearbox. Weighing just 2,645 lbs, it can hit a top speed of 180 mph and has a 0-60 mph sprint time of just four seconds. Unfortunately, there's about zero chance of it entering production.
And it's now on display at the 2013 Consorso d'Eleganza Ville d'Este on the shores of Lake Como, Italy and car spotter Marchettino was present with his camera. It sounds absolutely glorious and word has it that the car has already been sold.
