In just a few short weeks Aston Martin will write the next chapter in its storied history. The DB11 will be unveiled, and that is something to write home about. It's expected to produce upwards of 600 horsepower by way of a 5.2-liter bi-turbo V12. So that's definitely something to get excited about. Aston is also expected to unveil a replacement for the Vanquish and aging Vantage. CEO Andy Palmer has suggested that the new models will be more differentiated than what the automaker previously offered.

Palmer noted that the current lineup has cars that cannibalize sales. "One could argue there is not enough separation between DB9 and Vantage. One could easily cross-shop between the two," Palmer told Automotive News Europe. Not much is known about the DB11 other than its engine. Daimler AG, with a five percent ownership of Aston Martin, is involved and the DB11 is alleged to feature Mercedes-Benz S-Class switch gear and powertrain development. The next generation of Aston is almost here and with a bi-turbo V12 slated, we can't wait.
