Following their controversial chrome-wrapped V8 Vantage, Aston Martin decided to give the Cygent city car similar treatment by coating it in gold. The chassis and mechanical workings of the Cygnet are from the Toyota iQ, whereas the body with the Aston front fascia and interior are almost completely new to give it an air of exclusivity. From the HQ in Gaydon, UK, Aston Martin has clearly had a bit of fun with this make-over, as the Gold Cygnet will surely only appeal to a select few.

A wise man once said: "You can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter," and the guys at Aston Martin have proven this magnificently by giving their smallest car a lofty sense of superiority.
