Vanquish Coupe

The fact that Aston Martin is putting its Vanquish Zagato Concept into limited production should surprise nobody. The car was a hit when it debuted in May at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, with the Italian coachbuilding firm Zagato teaming with Aston Martin to produce another instant classic. Said instant classic will see a production run of just 99 units, with each one built to order. The first Vanquish Zagatos should be arriving in the driveways of the world's wealthy come the first quarter of 2017.

How much will these beasts cost? We don't know exactly, but the price should be high. Italian styling and a 6.0-liter V12 engine making 576 horsepower aren't cheap. While that may be a lot of grunt the Vanquish Zagato isn't designed for pure speed. It's 0-60 mph time clocks in at 3.5 seconds and Aston Martin says that its suspension will be tweaked to offer a "unique GT experience." We're normally all about speed but the Vanquish Zagato strikes us as a car you'd like to take thing slow in, if only to snap more necks on the sidewalk. Speaking of snapping necks, Aston Martin released these new photos of its limited-run coupe. Enjoy.
