So it transpires the link connecting an order for supercar composite structures to Aston Martin was less than tenuous. In fact, according to World Car Fans, it was non-existent as it was McLaren that placed the £15 million order. McLaren’s Global Communications Director Wayne Bruce (aka “Manbat”), has confirmed the order was for the P1. Given Aston Martin’s shaky financial situation, this was a story that should have never been given air time. At least we now know the McLaren P1 will have an interior swathed in carbon fiber.
