Aston Martin's Latest Special Edition Looks Ready To Fly

Special Editions / 13 Comments

And there's a good reason as to why.

British brands are extremely busy creating special editions for enthusiasts looking to spend a lot of money to get a one-off vehicle. Aston Martin recently introduced "Q by Aston Martin," which is the brand's way of letting motorists customize its vehicles to their personal tastes. Paying homage to The Blades, Britain's acrobatic aircraft display team made up of former RAF fast-jet pilots and members of the Red Arrows, Aston Martin Cambridge took some inspiration from The Blades to make this aircraft-inspired V8 Vantage. Go here for more information.

The dealership will commission just five units of the V8 Vantage S Blades Edition, with each vehicle coming with its own unique badge linking it directly to one of The Blades' Extra 300SC and Extra 300LP aircrafts. All cars will have a V8 engine that makes 430 hp under the hood and unique "Q" touches including a Jet Black roof panel, a Jet Black painted rear decklid, a monochrome Union Jack fender badge, a V12 Vantage S carbon-fiber front grille, embroidered front seats, leather accents and more. Aston Martin will hand over the cars to its customers in March after a full day of activities with The Blades team. Prices for the special edition start at roughly $170,000 for British enthusiasts and four out of the five models are already accounted for.
