Withsome new products from Aston Martin already announced and others being heavilytalked about, the company has also been hard at work revamping its existing lineup.2015 tweaking has focused on the Rapide S and Vanquish, providing a few stylingupdates and upgrades to performance and fuel economy numbers. Both models receivenew 10-spoke forged alloy wheels, new paint choices and updated interiormaterials including additional options.
Moreimportantly for drivers, a new Touchtronic III eight-speed automatictransmission has been added, lowering 0-60 mph times by half a second to 4.1(Vanquish) and 4.2 seconds (Rapide S). Furthermore, both cars now have a top speed of200 mph. The company also promises that this new gearbox will offer 13 percenthigher fuel economy in the Rapide S, and a 7 percent improvement in the Vanquish. A revised exhaust system raises the Vanquish's output to 568 horsepower and 465lb-ft of torque, with the Rapide S delivering 552 and 465 respectively.
