Last month, Aston Martin lifted the wraps off the stunning DBS GT Zagato. Based on the DBS Superleggera, Aston Martin's latest model created in collaboration with the legendary Italian design house boasts a beautiful bespoke body and a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 that produces 760 horsepower, making it the most powerful Aston Martin road car yet. If that didn't already make it special, only 19 are being made. It's part of the exquisite DBZ Centenary Collection celebrating Zagato's 100th anniversary, which also includes the track-only DB4 GT Zagato Continuation.

Both cars can only be bought as a pair for $7.8 million. Back in August, the DB4 Zagato Continuation, which is being billed as Aston Martin's most expensive new model, entered production, and now the first examples are being delivered to their wealthy new owners.

Just like the original car that raced with Ferrari in the 1960s, production of the DB4 GT Zagato will be limited to just 19 units, each staying true to the original Zagato-bodied DB4 GTs produced by Aston Martin and Zagato. Each car is meticulously hand-built and takes around 4,500 hours to complete.

Like the original DB4 Zagato, the Continuation car is fitted with thin-gauge aluminum body panels and a lightweight tubular frame. Under the hood is a straight-six engine sending 380 hp to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

"It has been our privilege and our pleasure to work with Zagato in the creation of these remarkable sports cars. Now arriving in the hands of a tiny group of owners across the world I'm sure they, like me, will be honored to play their part in the history of this great brand," said Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer.

"Christmas may be just around the corner now, but for 19 astute car collectors it is most definitely coming early!" said Paul Spires, President of Aston Martin Works "The DB4 GT Zagato Continuation program has been our most challenging and rewarding to date, and it is a genuine honor to see the fruits of our not inconsiderable labors making their way to owners around the globe."

Deliveries of the Continuation car will continue in 2019, while the DBS GT Zagato will arrive in Q4 2020.
