Legendary livery is given a modern twist by competition winner.
With this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans just days away, Aston Martin has taken the wraps of its new Gulf livery that will adorn the #97 Vantage GTE in the upcoming endurance race. The design was penned by the winner of the carmaker’s livery design competition, Jonathan Wesley, who used Gulf corporate colors of white, orange, light and dark blue on both sides of the car to demonstrate the “daylight to dusk” section of the race. Another four centennial GTE racecars will compete in what will be the 90th Le Mans, but only No. 97 will wear the competition-winning livery.
