Pre-owned programs generally aren't the first priority of boutique manufacturers. It's a level of logistical complication that's just too much of an undertaking when you're just trying to get people to buy the new cars. This must be even more complicated when talking about a company which also allows people to build their own cars at home. Yet here is Caterham, which has just announced a pre-owned program for the UK.

As Graham Macdonald, CEO of Caterham Group put it: "Purchasing a sportscar is no small decision but, as well as offering cast-iron residual values, we now offer a wide range of pre-owned Caterham cars with market leading benefits designed to provide as much reassurance as possible." The cars are given an 81-point inspection and are then offered with a one-year warranty and a one-year membership to the Caterham Owner's Club. It even comes with a track day voucher, which makes a lot of sense, given what so many of these cars are used for.
