German pocket rocket receives a healthy boost in power from the Audi tuning specialists.
Audi aftermarket specialist ABT Sportsline has used the limited-run A1 Quattro for its latest project, working its magic to enhance the car's already potent performance. The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine has been tweaked with an ABT Engine Control and ABT Power Software unit added, increasing output from 256 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque to 307 hp and 295 lb-ft. As a result the A1 Quattro is able to sprint from 0-62 mph in just 5.4 seconds, which is three-tenths quicker than the stock model.
For those who are concerned about economy and emissions, fear not. ABT Sportsline claims that following these modifications, the Audi A1 Quattro produces 30 percent less CO2 emissions and maintains the car's mile-per-gallon numbers, despite the added performance capabilities.
